Robert Kirkman Confirms the End of Apocalyptic Comic Book Series 'Oblivion Song'

Today Robert Kirkman confirmed the end of his apocalyptic comic book series Oblivion Song in the issue #30 letters page.  “If you’ve been paying attention to the buildup of this story from arc to arc, you might have suspected that we were nearing a natural end point…and we are, issue #36 was always planned to be the final issue,” wrote Kirkman. “When we conceived of this series, I thought of it as a trilogy of 12-issue arcs. Looking back, you can see the time jumps between #12 and #13, as well as #24 and #25, marked definitive chapter breaks along the way. That was by design.”  Oblivion Song takes place in an apocalyptic Philadelphia and follows Nathan Cole as he attempts to rescue the citizens lost in Oblivion. The series is co-created by Robert Kirkman (writer) and Lorenzo De Felici (artist), with Annalisa Leoni as colorist. Issue #31 hits stands this June, and the series will conclude with issue #36. The series is currently in development for a film adaptation at...

Announcing a New Volume of Sci-Horror as 'Godkiller' Returns with 'Tomorrow's Ashes'

Back in 2008, Matteo Pizzolo (CALEXIT) and artist Anna Wiesczyk envisioned a dark future: after a pandemic and insurrection topple civilization as we know it, a Fascist government known as The Republic rises, and a misfit crew of orphans, sex workers, and pariahs come together to bring it down. Thirteen years after its debut with GODKILLER: WALK AMONG US, this tale of caring for one another as the world falls apart around us is as urgent and relevant as ever.  And it’s back. April 2021’s GODKILLER: TOMORROW’S ASHES picks up after the events of WALK AMONG US, which was originally released as an underground comic in 2008, adapted into an animated film in 2011, and re-released in comics format by Black Mask Studios in 2014.   In fact, GODKILLER was the project that laid the groundwork for Brett Gurewitz and Steve Niles to collaborate with Pizzolo on what would become Black Mask Studios.   As Gurewitz said when Black Mask re-issued GODKILLER: WALK AMONG US,...
