REVIEW: 'Night of the Ghoul' #4 by Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla

Night of the Ghoul #4 Written by Scott Snyder Art by Francesco Francavilla Lettered by AndWorld Design Edited by Will Dennis Page Count: 26 Pages Digital Release Date: January 25, 2022 Age Rating: 17+ Only Sold by comiXology Score: ★★★★1/2 There are a lot of horror books in comic shops nowadays and that’s a good sign for a genre left in the shadow of other genres like superheroes.  There’s a comic on the horror spectrum for everyone and ‘Night of the Ghoul’ fills a sweet spot of nostalgia for old-fashioned horror movie storytelling and just how terrifying it can be. At the end of the last issue, Skeen revealed himself presumably as the ghoul while Forrest watched from the closet. Any skepticism Forrest may have had before was gone now and there was no doubt that Merritt was indeed in danger. Meanwhile, footage from Merritt’s film continues to run concurrently in the comic as the characters plot to expel the ghoul from their friend. Scott Snyder creates this intense parallel stor...
