DEAD KINGDOM #2 Writer/Artist: Etienne Derepentigny Letterer: Jerome Gagnon  Publisher: Red 5 Comics Release Date: November 30, 2022 Cover Price: $3.95 After the shocking discovery and the loss of his fellow soldiers, Kain with the help of another survivor must find the strength to carry on and get back to his love Alice. Let's hope he gets to Field Valley before the undead does. The second issue of a 5-part story arc, Dead Kingdom is a multi-layered saga that will explore a world where sorcery, brotherhood, and love collide with the rising nightmare of the living dead. Score: ★★★★☆ (4/5) QUICK REVIEW: In the zombie genre it's hard to not rehash tropes we've seen time and time again. Etienne Derepentigny does the best with this dark ages-set thriller that relies as heavily on character development as it does with bloody undead violence. Sure, there will be similarities with things like 'The Walking Dead' and 'Night of the Living Dead' but there's en...

Archie's first Golden Age superhero BOB PHANTOM returns in a new one-shot written by writer/actor James III (Netflix's Astronomy Club) . The comic is a surrealist superhero noir, with a hero who may be less super than he seems. The story features Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats and lots of Easter Eggs for longtime Archie fans.   BOB PHANTOM (ONE-SHOT) By day, he’s Walter Whitney, a fledgling theater columnist with a wild imagination, but by night he’s Bob Phantom, the “Scourge of the Underworld” — or is he? So, if there’s no crime left to fight, there’s only one thing to do: create enemies. Is Bob Phantom really the Scourge of the Underworld, or its leader?  Script: James III Art: Richard Ortiz, Juan Bobillo Colors: Glenn Whitmore Letters: Jack Morelli Cove...

Score: ★★★★1/2 (4.5/5) QUICK REVIEW: X-O Manowar makes an entertaining visit and joins forces with Bloodshot to track down an alien threat. There is a genuine chemistry between them that makes them entertaining as they banter because X-O has all but given up on humanity while Bloodshot holds on to his. Bloodshot also gets another illusion that will pull at your heartstrings again. This is another showcase of artistic talent for Jon Davis-Hunt and Jodie Bellaire as they create some amazing visuals and one panel, in particular, that should leave your jaw...
