QUICK REVIEW: 'Compass' continues to be an engrossing and immersive adventure led by two women on opposite sides. Shahidah and Uma, both scholars, seek the same thing, the Cauldron of Eternal Life, for very different reasons. For Shahidah, as a marked woman, the search has brought danger at every turn, and if she can't convince the Druids that the cauldron is threatened all may be lost. For Uma, under the service of Margul Khan himself, it's her duty to find it so he can reign for eternity. Well researched with plenty of added details in backmatter, Robert Mackenzie and Dave Walker educate while weaving an exciting tale of relic-hunting. Artists Justin Greenwood and Daniela Miwa provide a cinematic experience with great action pieces and characteristically moody and rich colors. It's one of the few truly exciting adventure series that makes you feel smarter for reading it.
