Mark Sable and Chris Anderson Launch a Kickstarter Campaign for CHAOTIC NEUTRAL

An Oversized Comic Book First Issue and Adventure Module Inspired By the Old School Fantasy RPGs that Scared a Nation

Featuring a Chick Tract-styled Comic by Ryan Browne And Trading Cards by Superstar Artists Max Dunbar, Jeremy Haun, Maan House, Jeff Johnson, Tom Neely, Dan Panosian, Jim Rugg, Tim Seeley and Kyle Strahm

They said fantasy roleplaying games were dangerous and they were wrong. But now? Maybe they were right to be afraid! Writer Mark Sable (Miskatonic, Graveyard of Empires) and artist Chris Anderson (Heavy Metal; Creepshow; Lost Angels) have created a Kickstarter campaign for CHAOTIC NEUTRAL, an all-new 48-page comic book first issue inspired by the old school fantasy roleplaying games that worried parents and teachers alike. CHAOTIC NEUTRAL delivers magic, adventure, and storytelling—with an edge.

And CHAOTIC NEUTRAL is more than just a comic:

Mark Sable has written an official CHAOTIC NEUTRAL Adventure Module that you can play using most old-school fantasy games.

Acclaimed comics creator Ryan Browne (God Hates Astronauts; Curse Words) has created an all-new, Chick Tracts-styled comic with a very specific message: comic books and RPGs will ruin your life.

Superstar artists Max Dunbar (Dungeons & Dragons), Jeremy Haun (Haunthology), Maan House (Godkillers), Jeff Johnson (Boondocks), Tom Neely (The Humans), Dan Panosian (Slots), Jim Rugg (Mtsryr: Octobriana 1976), Tim Seeley (Money Shot) and Kyle Strahm (Spread) have created CHAOTIC NEUTRAL: Monster Trading Cards. This uncut trading card sheet will feature one side with art, while the other will contain stats for a campaign.

“CHAOTIC NEUTRAL’s extra-length first issue introduces a young farmer named Stellan who pines for Isabella, the Prince Bishop’s beautiful daughter,” said writer Mark Sable. “Stellan has ideas for a happy ending, both for Alptraum and for himself. So he hires adventurers to stop the cult, only to see the satanists burn the village and take the most vulnerable villagers hostage. Now he has to lead a diverse but seemingly ordinary band of peasants to rescue their loved ones as they venture into the unknown."

“Will Stellan succeed? This is no hero’s journey,” said artist Chris Anderson. “There’s nothing typical about the story we are telling and that’s what’s exciting. If you want high adventure fantasy storytelling, with satanic cults, violence, nudity, and more than a few curse words, you’re going to want to check out CHAOTIC NEUTRAL.”
