'Stray Dogs' Creators Let the Dogs Out on 3 Dynamite Variant Covers

Tony Fleecs & Trish Forstner of "Stray Dogs" Bring Canine Companions To Dynamite's Top Titles With Variants!

Dynamite signs artists Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner to a trio of exciting covers matching Dynamite's biggest characters with dogs! The covers will be found on Red Sonja #2, Army of Darkness: 1979 #2, and Vampirella #25.

Fleecs and Forstner are known for their critically acclaimed independent title Stray Dogs. The series has been a huge hit, with the first issue going up to a whopping five printings to meet demand from retailers and a rabid fanbase. Now they're bringing that energy to Dynamite's hits.

Fleecs has worked hard for years on hit titles with his unique diverse style of cartooning. His licensed work with major publishers has sold hundreds of thousands of copies, on franchises like Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and a *ton* of beloved My Little Pony. He even played a key role in developing the Lil' Dynamite line of character designs for variants and one-shots.

Forstner is a rising star in comics, with contributions to My Little Pony as well as Stray Dogs of course. She brings with her years of experience with character design and freelance illustration.

Part of the fun of Stray Dogs has been many of the variants paying homage to classic horror films, as it bills itself as a unique take on Lady and the Tramp meets Silence of the Lambs. Or the alternate comparison of The Secret Life of Pets meets Seven, as coined by Brian Michael Bendis. That inventive crossover style and Fleecs' and Forstner's beloved artistic portrayal of man's best friend lead to a left-field, but brilliant idea.

A chance for Fleecs and Forstner to not only draw some of Dynamite's top characters from the biggest titles in stores right now and around the corner, but to depict them hanging out with a bunch of charming canine companions of their own. Or Stray Dogs meets the Dynamite Universe in an exciting totally unofficial crossover!

Both fans of the respective Dynamite characters, as well as Tony's diehards and new fans via Stray Dogs, plus anyone who appreciates unique and captivating covers will dig this limited set of variants.
