So...once upon a time, a suburban housewife spent her nights as a mobster-murdering assassin, named JENNIFER BLOOD. Then she died...or did she? Because in the cozy cul-de-sacs of Bountiful, Utah, a noticeable number of normal people have gone missing. And by "normal," I mean "mobsters under witness protection." And by "missing," I mean killed by someone that looks, sounds, and murders a lot like JENNIFER BLOOD...

By FRED VAN LENTE (Wolverine) and VINCENZO FEDERICI (Red Sonja)!

Score: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

QUICK REVIEW: The return of Jennifer Blood strikes fear in the hearts of mobsters everywhere. Even the ones who think they're safe in government relocation in the sleepy town of Bountiful where former criminals go to retire. The issue is really all set up and the legend of Jennifer Blood is told through the words of gangsters who anticipate her return and presumably to their town. Once thought dead, Blood or someone on a killing spree is on the loose looking for revenge. But is the woman considered a boogeyman or a copycat?

This is an old-fashioned bloody action series, full of crooks and assassins up to no good. There isn't an innocent good guy to be found only the violent retribution of Jennifer Blood. Vincenzo Federici and Dearbhla Kelly provide just the right amount of grit and noir amid the suburban confines of Bountiful and a Jennifer Blood comic wouldn't be complete with some shockingly grotesque violence. It's the unrepentant shoot'em up crime action thriller you've been waiting for.
