Watch the New Trailer for Netflix's 'Super Crooks' Anime Series

Johnny Bolt recruits a group of ragtag supervillains for one last heist. Their target: A ruthless super-powered crime boss. What can go wrong?

The new Super Crooks trailer just went live. Based on the limited comic book series from writer Mark Millar and artist Leinil Francis Yu, the upcoming Netflix anime series will offer additional storylines as a prequel while incorporating the comics original four issues to fill out the 13 episode series. Millar explained how it came to be in his newsletter.

"This is the Japanese anime adaptation of the supervillain book I did with my friend Leinil Yu a while back, 13 episodes of sheer and utter madness. The book itself was only four issues long, but I plotted out lots of new stories around it because we wanted to make this as big and bold as it could possibly be and Leinil came back to design all the brilliant new characters. The entire series drops on Netflix on Nov 25th and if you're familiar with Studio Bones you'll know you're in for a treat. A special shout out to director Motonobu Hori who has given us superhero visuals, unlike anything I've ever seen from an American studio. You're going to love this."

Luck's never been on their side, but this crew of small-time crooks with superpowers recruited by none other than Johnny Bolt are rolling the dice on one last heist. Their target: A ruthless super-powered crime boss. What can go wrong? Based on the graphic novel of the same name by comic book legend Mark Millar, this super-powered heist story about eight super-villains is jam-packed with action and told in 13x 30-minute episodes, lushly produced by Bones.

Super Crooks premieres on November 25th on Netflix.
