The preview for 'Red Sonja: Black, White, Red' #6 got off to a rocky start with the wrong creative teams listed but that's been rectified and the review you see here is correctly attributed. As in every issue, this wonderful anthology drawn and colored in only black, white, and red has quite the creatives behind it. Any fan of Red Sonja will cherish these short but entertaining vignettes from the industry's top talent and issue six is no different.

THE DARING RESCUE OF
CROWN PRINCE MAXIMILIAN
(BELOVED OF ALL THE PEOPLES)
BY DAVID AVALLONE, JONATHAN LAU,
KIKE J. DIAZ & JEFF ECKLEBERRY

The Crown Prince Maximilian has been kidnapped and being held for ransom and it's up to Red to get him back from some barbarians. It's a fast-paced and bloody action piece with a twist. Avallone's story is efficient and straightforward leaving it in Lau's and Diaz's capable hands to provide the stunning violent action.

MORGONA THE CRIMSON
BY SHANNON WATTERS, RO STEIN,
TED BRANDT & JEFF ECKLEBERRY

Something is amiss when Red's daring adventure has the villagers praising her - as Morgona the Crimson. Showering her with gifts has her confused until she realizes why the generous offerings. Stein's playful cartoony style fits perfectly with Watters' story of mistaken identity. It's a fun humorous tale that charms. I could read an entire arc from this creative team.

THE GIANT
BY BOB Q & HASSAN OTSMANE-ELHAOU

The simplicity of this story leads to one impressive artistic display of epic proportions. Bob Q handles the story with Otsmane-Elhaou providing the lettering and both shine here. Red has to defeat a mighty giant to cross a bridge to riches so of course she's game but has her hands full with the monster of a man. This is really a showcase for both creatives to create a dark and menacing forum for Red to fight and it's an amazing sequence. They're showing off their talents and I don't mind at all.

'Red Sonja: Black, White, Red' #6 offers another mix of fun and mayhem with this anthology entry.
