KICKSTARTER SPOTLIGHT: 'ID-10T error' by Matt McGrath, Otávio Colino, and Kay Baird

One man's quest for vengeance against the robot he created continues in this sci-fi horror-comedy series.

ID-10T error is a Black Mirroresque revenge comedy about Bradley, a lonely, disgruntled man, who creates the world's most advanced artificially intelligent robot. Why? So he can torture and kill it.

But, when his AI gains consciousness for the first time, Bradley discovers there's a problem he didn't account for—that his creation will do anything to survive.

The first issue of ID-10t error was successfully funded on Kickstarter in Fall 2020 as a digital comic. With this Kickstarter, we'll be raising funds to print the first issue of ID-10t error for the first time and finance the production and print run for ID-10t error issue 2!

Issues 1 and 2 of ID-10t error are 36-page saddle stitch books and will be printed in Toronto, Canada to keep printing costs down, avoid any supply chain issues, and support a local business (woohoo!). Both books will be oversized comics at 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 in to show off the stunning artwork of the creative team.

ID-10t error Issue 2 picks up moments after the end of the first issue. Bradley has failed. His greatest creation has outwitted him, kicked his ass, and escaped into the streets of Toronto.

But more is at stake for Bradley than just carrying out his petty vendetta against his creation. The AI also contains a secret within its coding that if it gets into the wrong hands, could destroy Bradley's life. Bradley must track it down—not just to enact his revenge, but also to ensure his own survival.

Meanwhile, the AI hatches a plan to save themself and the life of their friend Burpo by uploading their consciousness into the virtual reality amusement park of Burpoland. Once they upload their consciousness into a computer program, Bradley won't be able to reach or hurt them—that is...if he doesn't hunt them down first.

Issue 2 is part 1 in this next chapter of ID-10t error, which will conclude in Issue 3 (to be funded on Kickstarter at a later date).

Alright, enough talk. Let's see some pages!
