When 'Corollary' debuted last month, it offered a fun sci-fi fantasy full of colorful characters in an equally colorful world that was bright and awash in watercolors. Adam Rose and Robert Ahmad improve on the engaging first issue with more backstory and new revelations.

We were introduced to a world where twins are common from planets to suns to people. But when one twin dies the other does too. Yet, to the galaxy Andromeda appears to have lived despite her twin Cass having passed. It's the talk of the universe as Andromeda is sought for information about such a miracle. She's invited to speak to leaders of different worlds and is a subject of bounties put on her.

Meanwhile, she looks to gigs of adventuring to earn a living. But what is the truth? Issue two goes further into unraveling the truth. It also provides the backstory of what happened to their parents and how they'll do anything to bail them out of jail. Maybe the next job will make that happen.

'Corollary' is evolving into an even more entertaining sci-fi fantasy with creative world-building and familial strife that anchors this story in some real stakes. The dynamic of Andromeda and Cass allows for some fun dialogue and action as they're involved in another high-stakes battle. Ahmad's art is energetic and lively. The pacing is quick and the fight choreography is excellent. It's not your typical comic illustration and that makes it unique. Don't let the bright colors fool you. The story has teeth.

'Corollary' continues to build on a great sci-fi tale with more twists and background. Issue two is better than the first because the reader is more heavily invested in the characters as more is revealed. It's fun but with a lot on the line for Andromeda and Cass. Inventive and colorful, 'Corollary' is a solid monthly pull. Don't miss it.
