QUICK REVIEW: 'Census' is a funny quirky supernatural comedy that is a refreshing respite from superhero comics. Liam is just a normal college grad bouncing around jobs until he gets an opportunity to apply to become a census taker. The interview seems like a breeze, the job pays well with great benefits. What could go wrong? His first assignment also seems too good to be true until it isn't. All the while the acerbic and self-effacing Liam continually talks throughout providing an outer monologue for readers and other characters. He's almost like a Woody Allen protagonist without the baggage of a Woody Allen. Not as neurotic and far more charming. Marc Bernadin and Adam Freeman have written a breezy and entertaining low-stake comedy that feels light but very engaging. Sebastian Piriz does a wonderful job composing each scene helping to draw, literally speaking, out the humor with some deadpan looks and comical direction. It plays out for laughs and even some sexiness.

'Census' is an engaging new supernatural series that's thoroughly charming and genuinely funny.
