QUICK REVIEW: This latest run of Valiant's Bloodshot by Deniz Camp, Jon Davis-Hunt, and Jordie Bellaire has been action-packed and very entertaining. It seems almost like an apocalyptic story with some Western influence built in with the indestructible Bloodshot looking to terminate super soldiers that are on the loose and an imminent threat. When he's not being hunted, Bloodshot is the hunter and he has his sights on a killing machine with the human brain of a former pilot. As usual, Davis-Hunt delivers some mind-blowing and gut-busting visuals as the two faces off obliterating Bloodshot time after time. Camp's script captures Bloodshot's wit and sobering narration of a town devastated by radiation and neglect. This iteration of Bloodshot has become one of my favorites already. You can't help but root for him after everything that was done to him by the government and how now he battles possibly false memories that glitch and manifest in hallucinating a small boy companion that may or may not have been his son. 'Bloodshot: Unleashed' is Bloodshot at its best with all the gruesome over-the-top violence you expect with all the charming heart-rendering undertones you didn't.
