The ragtag team of time-traveling loners, berserkers, and killers said goodbye to Conan in the last arc before jumping to the future to face the one and only Jake Gallows, the Punisher of 2099. There's no rest for the wicked as this new arc is another non-stop freight train of awesomeness as the Savage Avengers are once again under fire, outmanned, and outgunned.

If you thought the first arc was a fast-paced action extravaganza, well gird your loins true believers, because David Pepose, Carlos Magno, and Espen Grundetjern have reloaded and are unleashing more eye-popping action. Cloak, Dagger, Black Knight, Daredevil, Weapon H, Anti-Venom, and now ally Deathlok come under fire as soon as they land in 2099. Facing the Punisher is hard enough but imagine an army of futuristic cybernetic Deathloks used for law and order and the troubles for our band of heroes multiply. The firefight between all the characters is beautifully illustrated albeit chaotic from page to page, this type of visceral pulse-pounding action is simply too great for a medium like comics. This yearns for a gigantic IMAX screen in order to take it all in. The ambition of this creative team is to blow the minds of every Marvel Comics fan and they do so consistently. Maybe it's time to publish Savage Avengers in a prestige format magazine size at least to soak up all the goodness.

'Savage Avengers' continues to impress with exciting new stories and fan-favorite characters. When comics are this good, more of the same is a great thing.
