QUICK REVIEW: 'Savage Avengers' has been a non-stop roller coaster ride filled with action and crowd-pleasing cliffhangers. Few comics can get the blood pumping like 'Savage Avengers' does and that's all due to the great team of creators, David Pepose, Carlos Magno, and Espen Grundetjern. Issue seven is no different except that perhaps being turned up to eleven all the time might be too much of a good thing. It's an all-out war for the Avengers against Ulton's army of Deathlok bots. Pepose gives readers their money's worth with pages chockful of battles and backstories. There are more twists and turns with surprising appearances that are pure fanservice in the best ways. However, all the new players of the latest time jump take up a lot of the exposition and storytelling driving the Avengers to the background and leaving it open for the next cameo. Sometimes, there are just too many things going on creating a chaotic stream of consciousness where even the artists appear to be overwhelmed. Nonetheless, it's still an entertaining issue with another big payoff at the end. 'Savage Avengers' is nothing if not ambitious and worth three times the cover price.
