FIRST LOOK: Final Issue of Skybound's 'Creepshow' Limited Series

All-New Pages Revealed from the Upcoming Creepshow Stories by Steve Orlando, Marianna Ignazzi, Clay McLeod Chapman, and Anwita Citriya

Today Skybound revealed a first look at Creepshow #5, the final issue of the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment. Creepshow #5 will arrive in comic book shops on January 25, 2023.

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, each issue of the Creepshow comic anthology series comes packed with two spine-chilling stories.

First, Steve Orlando (Marauders) and Marianna Ignazzi (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) scare up a sensational yarn about a young man who’ll go to extreme lengths to retain his youth. Fabiana Mascolo (Skybound Presents Afterschool) on colors and Pat Brosseau (I HATE THIS PLACE) letters the story.

Then, Clay McLeod Chapman (Scream: Curse of Carnage) and exciting newcomer Anwita Citriya invite you to a debutante ball so horrifying you’ll be crawling out of your skin. Jordie Bellaire (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) colors the story, and Pat Brosseau letters this story as well.

In addition to the main cover by Chris Burnham, Creepshow #5 comes with an impressive lineup of variant covers, including a cover by legendary artist Kelley Jones (The Sandman, Batman) and a 1:10 incentive cover by Vance Kelly.

The lineup behind this Creepshow issue joins the first-class roster of creative teams from the worlds of comics, film, television, and beyond working on the anthology, including Chris Burnham (Die! Die! Die!), Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series), Stephen Langford (Creepshow TV series), John McCrea (Hitman), David & Maria Lapham (Stray Bullets), Steve Foxe (Razorblades: The Horror Magazine), Erica Henderson (Assassin Nation, Dracula, Motherf**ker), Francesco Francavilla (Night of the Ghoul, Detective Comics) and L Marlow Francavilla, Ariela Kristantina (Chain), Jorge Corona (The Me You Love in the Dark), Kyle Starks (I HATE THIS PLACE), Fran Galán (Lucky Devil), Henry Barajas (Helm Greycastle) and Dani (Detective Comics, Coffin Bound). Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions. Each issue of the five-part anthology features uniquely horrifying standalone stories guaranteed to SCARE YOU TO DEATH.

The Creepshow comic miniseries deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment.

Creepshow #5 (of 5) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
