KICKSTARTER SPOTLIGHT: 'Area 51: The Helix Project' by Fernandes-Lenkiewicz, Iwunze, Salaza, and Freire

When his father's murder is questioned, a child of 2 worlds excavates the ghosts of his past, leading him into the jaw of a conspiracy.

The half-breed son of an extraterrestrial who masqueraded as a human for decades witnesses his father’s death after saving a human child—a selfless act that resulted in the exposure of his father’s alien physiology.

Tortured by the loss, the son, Kent, spends 13 years struggling to pick up the pieces until he's mysteriously confronted by someone claiming to have been there on the day of his father’s murder and that they have a means of getting him back.

Driven to uncover the circumstances surrounding his father’s murder, and struggling to reconcile his dueling sense of identity, Kent is led further into the jaw of a Cold War genetics conspiracy; what’s left of him is forced to confront a twisted ghost from his past as it plunges a dagger into everything he’s come to know about himself and what it means to be human.

This is the final issue of a 6 part original comic book series written by Trevor Fernandes-Lenkiewicz (Former host of the DarkKnightNation YouTube Channel), drawn by the incredibly talented Samuel Iwunze, brilliantly colored by Marcio Freire, and lettered by one of the best in the industry, Taylor Esposito.

Unlike the standard monthly comic, THE HELIX PROJECT will be produced on thick premium quality glossed stock for both the cover, including 28 interior pages of story with extra backup material totaling a final page count of 32.

105 lb cover stock with 80lb interior paper stock! This Pocket Watch Press production dives into a UFO-hysteric America challenging conceptions of society, mental health, identity, and memory.
