Massive-Verse Plans an Explosive Crossover Event in the Forthcoming 'Supermassive 2023'

Massive-Verse architects Kyle Higgins, Ryan Parrott, Melissa Flores, and Mat Groom join up with superstar artists Daniele Di Nicuolo and Walter Baiamonte (Power Rangers: Shattered Grid, Seven Secrets) for the upcoming Supermassive 2023. This explosive, 50-page one-shot crossover event will land on shelves this May from Image Comics and kick the Massive-Verse into high gear.

A doorway has opened. Beyond it lies the Holy Grail. Yes, that Holy Grail. But why are Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, and The Dead Lucky all so desperate to get their hands on it—and who is the mysterious woman who stands in their way?

“The first Supermassive ignited this shared universe—but now, with all of our series in motion, Supermassive 2023 feels like the Massive-Verse in its prime,“ said the one-shot's writers in a statement about the upcoming release. “Wildly different characters with wildly different personalities and motivations, each with their own history, colliding in a pressure cooker. It was almost too much fun to write, and getting to bring Daniele Di Nicuolo and Walter Baiamonte into the fold felt momentous—because their work has been a big inspiration for this initiative since the beginning.”

Supermassive 2023 one-shot will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, May 24:

  • Cover A - Diamond Code MAR230031
  • Cover B - Diamond Code MAR230032
  • Cover C 1:25 copy incentive - Diamond Code MAR230033

Supermassive 2023 will also be available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.

Higgins & Marcelo Costa’s breakout hit Radiant Black took superhero storytelling to new heights when it launched in 2021—but Radiant Black isn’t the only character inhabiting the growing Massive-Verse. Each character has a different story to tell, and different adversaries to face… and they each occupy a very different corner of this shared superhero universe. Now’s the time to get into the Massive-Verse.

Also available in the Massive-Verse:

And now they are coming home. Score:  ★★★★1/2 (4.5/5) Few things can pique the interest of a comic book reader like a good ole conspiracy thriller. The latest example is the excellent new series from James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds entitled 'The Department of Truth' that's been a bestseller for Image Comics. It proposes conspiracy theories can be all-too-real and for Jeff Lemire, Andrea Sorrentino, and Dave St...
