QUICK REVIEW: 'The Least We Can Do' heads into a big battle, the confrontation we've all been waiting for. After a slow start, the action has picked up over the last two issues culminating in a huge showdown. The result is a rewarding and satisfying wall-to-wall action-packed finale that shows off all the training and use of powers that have been discussed ad nauseam throughout the series. Elisa Romboli's choreographed fighting is chaotic and balletic and magical all on the same page. It's an organized frenzy that just lets loose the action readers have been craving. The only thing that doesn't work is the sudden romance between Uriel and Sam. The mutual attraction came late in the series and seemed all too sudden to garner any believability. With the battle finally at hand, the future of the series would seem very bright as the foundation has been set to explore this fantasy world even further. If not, 'The Least We Can Do' stands alone as a capable fantasy series full of heart, emotion, and energy.
