Robert Kirkman & Lorenzo De Felici Launch A New Shared Comics Universe In VOID RIVALS #1

 The Most-Anticipated New Comic Book Series of the Year Arrives June 2023 


Today at the ComicsPRO Comic Industry Annual Meeting, Skybound made the surprise announcement of Void Rivals, a new comic book series from the blockbuster Oblivion Song team of Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and Lorenzo De Felici (Kroma), along with colorist Matheus Lopes (Step By Bloody Step). It was also announced that Void Rivals will introduce the world to an all-new shared universe with a surprise that won’t be revealed till the series debut coming June 2023. 

In Void Rivals, war rages around the Sacred Ring, where the last remnants of two worlds have collapsed around a black hole in a never-ending war. However, when pilot Darak and his rival Solila both crash on a desolate planet, these two enemies must find a way to escape together. But are they alone on this strange planet? And what dark forces await that threaten the entire universe?   

“With every project I do, I’m always trying to challenge myself. One thing I’ve always loved doing is starting small with a story and expanding the depth, scope, and stakes as we progress,” said Robert Kirkman. “With Void Rivals we’ll be going bigger than I ever have and at a much faster pace. This project is going to be monumental. I can’t wait for people to see what Lorenzo and I have cooking.”

Void Rivals #1 will feature a main cover by De Felici, along with variant covers by some of the top artists in the industry today that will reveal more about these new characters and their worlds!

Void Rivals #1 (DIAMOND CODE JAN238443) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play on Wednesday, June 14.
