PREVIEW: Curt Pires Launches 'Money,' 'Simulation Theory' and 'Lost Falls S2' on Comixology

Available Digitally from Comixology Originals July 18, 2023

Curt Pires keeps pushing boundaries. With a keen sense of the zeitgeist and a sharp unflinching ability to tackle controversial topics and turn them on their head, Pires is the writer of such compelling comic book series as Wyrd, You’ve Been Cancelled, Indigo Children, New America, and YOUTH.

Now, on July 18, 2023, Pires will debut two new monthly series Money, a white-knuckle conspiracy thriller that follows five powerful families and Simulation. Theory, a sci-fi thrill ride into a simulated reality where one can live a new life. Money is illustrated by Luca Casalanguida, with colors by Mark Dale and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Simulation. Theory is illustrated by Darryl Knickrehm, with colors by Mark Dale and lettering by Micah Myers. Both series will be available exclusively via Comixology Originals, along with the debut of Lost Falls Season 2, which features art by Pierluigi Minotti, colors by Emilio Lecce, and lettering by Micah Myers. The new, mind-bending season of the socially minded mystery thriller follows the recent release of Dark Horse Comics' print publication of Lost Falls Volume 1.

“I’m excited to be debuting Money, Simulation Theory, and Lost Falls S2 with my world-class collaborators on these projects and my friends at Comixology,” says Pires. “These books run the gamut subject and genre-wise and tackle some of the most prescient topics of the day. I think there’s something for everyone in these three books and am delighted by the accessibility that Kindle Unlimited and Comixology Unlimited provide in making them widely available.”

Money #1, Simulation. Theory #1 and Lost Falls Season 2 #1 will all be available from Amazon’s Comixology Originals exclusive digital content line on July 18, 2023.

If you had the chance to live forever, would you? That’s what Nu Life is offering. A chance for trans-conscious migration (transferring of your mind and consciousness into the metaverse inside an avatar of your choosing). The opportunity to leave the real world and live in a digital one.

When Ash’s real life gets a bit too hot to handle, she’s offered help from a friend, who happens to be her ex. But when she enters her Nu Life and finds her ex there, they quickly realize the simulation may be more than they bargained for.

Look for Pires’ previous Comixology Originals works including YOUTH Volumes 1 and 2, Lost Falls Volume 1 now available in paperback from Dark Horse Books, Memoria arriving in print this summer, and New America arriving in print in 2024. All are available digitally from Comixology.
