QUICK REVIEW: 'Black's Myth: The Key to His Heart' has so far been as delightfully charming as the first series. Now, with Strummer and Ben being well-established as werewolf detective and djinn, the latest quandary has them working together to find out who sent her a mysterious package. The heavy from the previous series Rainsford Black makes a return but that only makes the investigation murkier. One of the best things about this title has always been the camaraderie and banter between Strummer and Ben. Playful, sarcastic, and sassy, it's their relationship that is the biggest appeal. The fact that she's a werewolf surprisingly, isn't the main focus but merely an attribute of Strummer that only appears when necessary. What's left is an intriguing mystery beautifully illustrated in black and white by Wendell Cavalcanti whose work shows more development since the last series.

'Black's Myth,' continues to be a character-driven supernatural detective story that entertains with quirky endearing storytelling. Readers can settle in with another engaging mystery and just enjoy the dialogue of witty characters as they explore L.A.'s supernatural underground.
