QUICK REVIEW: I'm a sucker for a good Western and there isn't a lot in comics so when one like 'The Enfield Gang Massacre' #1 by Chris Condon, Jacob Phillips, and Pip Martin comes out, I can't wait to sink my teeth into it. And luckily, the creators did not disappoint. It's so well written that the plot is almost secondary because Condon breathes such authenticity into the characterizations, I could almost listen to the dialogue endlessly. It is about a reckless bank robber, an aging Ranger determined to return justice to the town, and by the end a shocking murder mystery. It's enthralling with illustrations right out of the old Western pulp comics. Well-paced and absorbing, if you're a fan of good Western storytelling this is for you.
