Their journey leads them to a massive war complex that hides both unknown horrors and a fortune in gold. However, the deeper they travel, the more they realize the complex has developed a life of its own and that some secrets are better left buried in the past.

QUICK REVIEW: You can't go wrong with historical fiction involving an elaborate heist and punching Nazis. Set soon after WWII, 'Project Riese' takes its title from the target of this supernatural-infused adventure where a team of treasure hunters led by Sam Safdie finds a long-thought-lost map to the underground compound of the Third Reich with tunnels full of experimental technology and riches. The time period and the use of Nazis can't help to bring to mind, Indiana Jones and this is a worthy but distant cousin to those iconic films. Deception, subterfuge, ingenuity, action, and mind games all help in making 'Project Riese' a fun and fast-paced adventure that draws the reader in and teases with a great cliffhanger. Jeff McComsey and Paul Little provide cartoony designs and heavy lines full of rich colors that give the issue the proper period look. Any fan of adventure should add this to their pulllist.
