QUICK REVIEW: Vic and Carrie's investigation continues to take them down a dark and dangerous path of more support groups for the surgery-addicted whose back alley operations have left them scarred in more ways than one. 'Invasive' issue two keeps a tense atmosphere making this noir body horror mystery as intriguing as it is suffocating.

It's dialogue-heavy with some shocks along the way. The emphasis is on character development and Bunn has paired two broken people who both seek justice but slowly realize they need each other as well. It's a galvanizing approach to ground the story with characters you're invested in as a reader and hope they get the peace they're after.

Jesus Hervas and Dan Jackson keep things dark and moody like a languishing black cloud over the story. It feels like something can jump out at you from any shadowy corner at any time. Of course, something does happen when you least expect it, and while there aren't many scares in this issue, when it does happen it's wild.

'Invasive' #2 is an eerie and enthralling chapter that builds on the duo's relationship amid a dangerous cult's killing spree. Bunn and company keep the tension at 100.
