QUICK REVIEW: The fascinating thing about 'Cobra Commander' by Joshua Williamson, Andrea Milana, and Annalisa Leoni is that the titular character is an infamous supervillain so you don't root for him but you can't wait to see what he does next. CC thinks he's doing the right thing by finding and harnessing the power of the Energon for his planet and his people. He's ruthless but a loyal servant to his ruler. He despises humans (and frankly, who can blame him) so when he encounters the rowdy gang of the Dreadnoks he seems more annoyed than frightened even under torture. This is a devilishly compelling look at the dark side of the G.I. Joe mythos as CC's story unfolds and deals with the worst of humanity. At times shocking, and brutal like a crime thriller, 'Cobra Commander' is a good time spent with the bad guys.

  1. Its AMAZING how a writer can underwhelm on one comic and excel at others 9I can't stand his Superman) but this comic and all the Energon Universe Comics are incredible (I am old enough to remember the 1987 GI Joe cartoon where cobra La first debuted "COBRA LALALALLALALALA!"
