QUICK REVIEW: Just when you think 'The Devil That Wears My Face' has reached its peak, the crescendo of a bloody demented symphony, David Pepose, and Alex Cormack find new corners of hell to explore and continue their deliriously demonic Legion to run roughshod all over the Vatican. Poor Father Vieri is trapped in a hellish dimension trying to return to help Maria who has taken it upon herself to end Legion's bloody campaign. It's an ambitious and marvelously chaotic issue that showcases Alex Cormack's imaginative and raging vision of hell. Oceans of hellfire full of bright red and orange waves create an uneasy seasickness as Vieri struggles to escape. And you've never seen a more unhinged psycho like Legion and Cormack takes the character to new levels with a performance that is as deadly and manic as anything you've ever seen. Pepose and Cormack are the conductors of this runaway train and you just have to marvel at it. A fast-paced suspense thriller that finds the devil keeps winning while the good guy suffers. It's a blockbuster of a penultimate issue that guarantees the finale to be a barnburner.
