QUICK REVIEW: David Pepose, Jonathan Lau, and Andrew Dalhouse have taken what made the 'Space Ghost' animated series so fun, elevated it with more pathos, and created an irresistible sci-fi adventure that's self-contained but totally entertaining. 

Issue three introduces the mysterious Widow and she offers SG and his crew the chance to stick it to Robo-Corp in an elaborate heist. Skeptical but seeking justice for Jan and Jace, he agrees. Having just taken the guardian duties over the two kids, SG is still learning to let go and letting the precocious but brilliant duo aid in the mission. That's where the series' heart comes from where SG can't help but be a father figure to them but realizes he can't impede their growth either. This makes him self-aware and vulnerable. An unexpected but welcomed aspect of a story that is heavy in galactic battles and adventure. Pepose grounds the story in ways that find the humanity amid the heroics. 

Lau's stunning action sequences and Dalhouse's vibrant colors make each page pop and magnetic. It's a constant barrage for the eyes with kinetic pacing and action that recalls old serials. It's not camp just old-fashioned heroism. 

'Space Ghost' continues delivering a top-notch space adventure that thrills. You won't find a more entertaining comic anywhere.
