QUICK REVIEW: There are certain expectations from particular creators when they drop a new book. One of those creators, Daniel Warren Johnson, is one of the most popular comic storytellers, so each new offering is a must-buy. 'The Moon is Following Us' is no exception and with Riley Rossmo sharing the art duties with Johnson and colorist Mike Spicer it's also one of the most stunning debuts.

Readers are thrust into a beautifully rendered sci-fi fantasy landscape from page one as Sam and Duncan attempt to retrieve their daughter from evil forces. They're joined by some peculiar allies in their quest to find Penny. It's instantly engaging and compelling as they traverse this world full of fantastical characters. Yet, it's the parents that are relatable and worth pulling for. They're empathetic characters who are not only bad-ass warriors but hurting human beings doing whatever it takes to get their daughter back. The issue packs a punch as the story unfolds.

'The Moon is Following Us' is an instant shot of adrenaline in an adventure that thrills while it captures your heart.
