Score:

★★★★☆ (4/5)

In the newest arc of Space Ghost, Jace wakes up disoriented after the Phantom Cruiser crashes on Planet Halcyon, hearing Blip's voice telling him to stay calm. Blip reveals that the Creature King has activated a massive array of Encephalo-Rays, granting intelligence to animals while humans become mentally hampered. Blip, now able to speak due to a special chip, must guide Jace into the jungle to confront Creature King and save their friends.

Meanwhile, Creature King has captured Space Ghost and Jan, forcing them into a gladiator fight against a gruesome Moon Ape as part of his plan to create an army of smart animals under his control. The issue focuses on action and Blip’s emotional drive to rescue his family. Blip's courage and intellect take the spotlight showing he's just as heroic as the rest of the team leading to saving the day. It's another rip-roaring adventure with a formidable villain. There just isn't a more entertaining series.

Jonathan Lau’s artwork remains exceptional, perfectly capturing the dynamic energy of the story. Lau and colorist Andrew Dalhouse were made for action as the pace, composition, and colors give the story the kinetic visual pop it requires.

I'm running out of compliments for the 'Space Ghost' series. It just delivers a fun exciting adventure from month to month. It's the kind of quality storytelling you should consistently expect from comics.
