"Victor Santos and I have been friends and fans of each other’s work for nearly 20 years. He’s one of the best storytellers in comics, with his abstract, high-contrast style being a major reason I collaborate with him frequently. He's truly one of the industry's best-kept secrets, and he's like a brother to me, so I was thrilled when he took over the second half of Galaxy of Madness. Strap in!" – Vol. 1 Artist/Cover Artist, Michael Avon Oeming |

“I love old Sci-Fi! Especially the 50s and 60s films. Some of my favorite movies are Forbidden Planet or the Showa-Era Godzilla films. I love that colorful sense of adventure and craziness, with impossible space ships, glitter astronaut suits and rubber monsters. So when Magdalene and Mike asked me to draw and color the second volume of Galaxy of Madness I couldn't refuse it. It gave me the chance to draw this imagery and test new styles of storytelling linked to old-fashioned comic-books and magazines.
I had already worked with Mags in an issue of Tales of Nottingham and I love how she builds characters, and here we have a complete cast of different personalities in conflict, some of them really extreme, but also with a deep humanity in all of them. And working with Mad Cave is something so easy that I expect this is only the beginning of my collaboration with them.” – Artist, Victor Santos |
