FIRST LOOK: 'Super Creepshow Special' #1 is the Ultimate Creepshow Experience

Superheroes get weird, wild, and wonderfully wrecked in (maybe) the most important comic of the year!

Why So Creepy? Today Skybound and Image Comics revealed the lineup of variant covers and interior pages from Super Creepshow Special #1, the latest special issue of the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Evoke Entertainment Company. An all-new supercharged, superhero chapter of the scariest anthology in existence will hit comic book shops on October 8, 2025.

Join the Creep in a special celebration of superheroes new, old, and very, very disturbed in what’s already being called the most important comic book of the year!

Super Creepshow Special #1 will feature stories by the all-star superhero comics talent of Eisner Award winner Dan Watters (The One Hand and the Six Fingers, Batman: Dark Patterns) and Carmine Di Giandomenico (Absolute Superman), Ryan Stegman (X-Men) and Riley Rossmo (The Moon Is Following Us, Harley Quinn), and Ed Brisson (Wolverine: Old Man Logan) and Andrei Bressan (The Uncanny X-Men, Dark Ride).

Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions.

First, Dan Watters and Carmine Di Giandomenico plan a funeral for the world’s greatest superhero, but his return might be the worst thing that could ever happen!

Then, Ryan Stegman and Riley Rossmo introduce the world to the Grave Ghost, a superhero who must solve the case of...his own death!

Finally, Ed Brisson and Andrei Bressan unleash the chilling tale of what happens when a super serum gets injected into someone who may be more super VILLAIN than hero.

In addition to the main homage cover by Pye Parr, Super Creepshow Special #1 comes with a lineup of variant covers, including open to order covers by Carmine Di Giandomenico and Riley Rossmo.

Also releasing monthly beginning September 17, Creepshow Volume 4 boasts an all-star creative roster that includes Jeremy Adams (Green Lantern), Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets), the Godzilla: Monster Island Summer Camp team of Rosie Knight and Oliver Ono, Rachel Pinnelas (DC’s I Know What You Did Last Crisis), Gabriel Walta (Vision), Ted Raimi & Thomas Krajewski, Ryan Carr (Archie’s Chilling Adventures Presents...), Alex Paknadel (Cult of the Lamb), Amilcar Pinna (Generation X), Philip Fracassi (Boys in the Valley), Robert Carey (Outsiders), Sina Grace (Detective Comics), Ramon Villalobos (Exit City), and many others to be announced!
