Score:

★★★★1/2 (4.5/5)

Just when you think Space Ghost has faced the most powerful villains in the universe, a new threat emerges from another dimension — one determined to erase the vigilante from every timeline in existence. David Pepose's incredible run on the series continues with an epic clash between Space Ghost and the deadly Tempus the Time-Master.

Already in the midst of quelling a jailbreak by the Council of Doom, Space Ghost, Jan, and Jace encounter the insufferably chatty Tempus, who wastes no time revealing his grand plan before the real showdown begins. Pepose smartly establishes what Tempus is capable of in the opening pages, depicting him ravaging an entire timeline with terrifying ease. He is a force to be reckoned with — and he'll be the first to tell you so. Tempus may be the most quintessential exposition-dumping villain in recent memory, a megalomaniac who loves nothing more than the sound of his own voice. You'll be begging Space Ghost to deck him just to get a moment of silence. It sounds corny on the surface, but that's precisely the point — it's the perfect tone for a story rooted in classic Saturday morning adventure.

The multiverse concept may feel overexposed in the current era of comic book cinema, but Pepose deploys it with purpose here. Rather than a gimmick, it serves to raise the stakes and showcase the true ferocity of the villain — and a jaw-dropping cliffhanger makes it clear this particular thread is only getting started.

Jonathan Lau and Andrew Dalhouse once again deliver artwork that is vibrant, kinetic, and impossible to put down. Their masterful interplay of color, shadow, and light gives every page a dynamic energy, and when Space Ghost takes a hit, you feel it — each blow landing with real weight and consequence.

Space Ghost finds himself in yet another death-defying predicament, facing a worthy opponent with more on the line than ever before. It's a breathless, page-turning adventure that will leave readers desperately craving the next issue. 'Space Ghost' remains the most reliable action comic on stands, and issue ten is a masterclass in why.
