Comic cons across the country — and around the world — are giving fans access to their favorite creators, stars, and exhibitors. Whether the fandom is comics, anime, wrestling, cosplay, collectibles, or any number of other passions, regional shows are filling the calendar until the two biggest events in the US arrive: San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con.
As influential as those juggernauts are, they can be expensive, exhausting, and overwhelming. Publishers and studios reserve their biggest announcements for those stages precisely because the news ignites fan frenzy on a global scale. But fans still crave the chance to meet their favorite comic book writers, artists, wrestlers, actors, and cosplayers without the cost or chaos of a mega-con. That's what makes regional shows so vital — they bring a similar experience, scaled to serve their local communities.
Thirty-five miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in San Bernardino County, Comic Con Revolution is one of those essential regional shows. Now in its ninth year, the event brings the best in comics, movies, games, TV, animation, and pop culture to the city of Ontario, serving the Inland Empire metropolitan area just outside LA County. Its location draws attendees from multiple surrounding counties, making it a genuine destination event.
The ninth annual Comic Con Revolution is scheduled for May 16–17, 2026, at the Ontario Convention Center. Organizers Atomic Crush Events are promising their biggest convention yet. Attendees can expect a fully packed exhibit hall with over 350 exhibitors — including 175+ creators in Artist Alley — alongside new and vintage comic book dealers, publishers, toy and collectibles vendors, crafts, costumes, cosplayers, fan groups, media stars, and more. The weekend programming runs two full days and includes panels, Q&As, how-to sessions, screenings, and cosplay events, all included with admission.
While DC and Marvel have scaled back their presence to all but a handful of the largest shows, that's all the more reason to seek out the independent publishers who depend on events like this to thrive. The industry is top-heavy with those two corporate giants, so your support for smaller publishers, writers, and artists genuinely makes a difference. Many creators who've worked on your favorite mainstream comics will be tabling all weekend — even if the big two aren't in the building. Stop by, say hello, and maybe discover your next favorite series.
Comic cons have long since grown beyond their four-color roots, and this year's Comic Con Revolution is no exception. The show will feature a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion along with appearances by stars of Battlestar Galactica and The Flash. With autograph opportunities, photo ops, and appearances by actors, wrestlers, cosplayers, and content creators, there's something to pull in fans of every stripe.
