Kristen Ritter Joins Cast for Comic Book Read-Along Album of 'It Demands Sacrifice'

 

BAD IDEA is proud to announce that acclaimed actress Krysten Ritter has joined the all-star voice cast of IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE: RECORD READ-A-LONG, the limited-edition 7" vinyl companion to BAD IDEA’s upcoming horror series IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE by Philip Gelatt (LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS) and David Yarovesky.

Best known for her celebrated performance as Jessica Jones in Marvel’s JESSICA JONES, Ritter led the Peabody, Hugo and Emmy Award-winning Netflix series for three seasons, and reprised the role in THE DEFENDERS and DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN. Her performance earned widespread critical acclaim as well as a Critics Choice Award nomination, multiple Saturn Award nominations and a Webby Award. 

Ritter’s other acclaimed performances include Jane Margolis on AMC’s BREAKING BAD and the lead role in the cult comedy DON’T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23, as well as memorable roles in VERONICA MARS, GILMORE GIRLS, Tim Burton’s BIG EYES, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC and SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE. Ritter also previously collaborated with IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE co-creator David Yarovesky, starring as the witch Natacha in his Netflix horror-fantasy film NIGHTBOOKS, and has lent her voice to animated series including THE SIMPSONS, KRAPOPOLIS, ROBOT CHICKEN and THE CLEVELAND SHOW.

IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE: RECORD READ-A-LONG revives the classic comic book record read-alongs of the 1970s for a new generation. Each limited-edition package pairs an exclusive comic book with a 7" vinyl record featuring a fully performed version of the story, allowing readers to listen as the characters, score and sound effects bring the comic to life on the page.

BAD IDEA has already assembled an extraordinary cast of comic book creators and industry icons, including Brett Bean (D’ORC), Mike Carey (LUCIFER), Shelly Bond (VERTIGO), Tomás Giorello (PLANET DEATH) and Jorge Fornés (BATMAN), alongside many more. Deep in the wilderness, beneath a blood-red moon, hundreds of cult followers gather for an ancient ritual. Their purpose: to sacrifice the goats and summon a ravenous demon from beyond.

Now, the fate of his family rests on the shoulders of the one creature least prepared to save them.
