REVIEW: 'James Bond: Agent of SPECTRE' #2 by Christos Gage, Luca Casalanguida, and Heather Moore

James Bond is in the USA...but NOT as part of Her Majesty's Secret Service. The leverage Blofeld has against Bond is a threat to the life of his one of the few people in the world Bond can trust... but that friend may have the interests of Bond's target as the higher priority! JAMES BOND: AGENT OF SPECTRE #2 Writer: Christos Gage Artist: Luca Casalanguida, Heather Moore Letters: Simon Bowland Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment Release Date: April 7, 2021 Cover Price: $3.99 Score: ★★★★☆ (4/5) After only two issues, 'James Bond: Agent of SPECTRE' has already become one of my favorite James Bond stories in comics. It feels like a true Bond adventure yet it's unlike any story you've read before. As the title describes, Bond is working for the infamous lethal rival organization. He's been compromised into doing the bidding...

In one of James Bond's most dangerous missions, the iconic agent find's himself in the middle of a Spectre power play. With a dead CIA agent as collateral damage, a suspicious Blofeld asking questions, and a dangerous woman his equal, Bond has to make a deal with not one but two devils.  James Bond: Agent of Spectre #3 writer: Christos Gage artists: Luca Casalanguida, Heather Moore letters: Simon Bowland covers: Aaron Lopresti (A), Aaron Lopresti (RI/Virgin), Aaron Lopresti (RI/BW), Aaron Lopresti (RI/BW Virgin) FC | 32 pages | Action/Adventure | $3.99 | Teen+ Release Date: 05/05/2021  As Bond struggles with the fallout of the previous issue's shock ending, all bets are off. REVIEW: 'James Bond: Agent of SPECTRE' #4 by Christos Gage, Luca Casalanguida, and Heather Moore

Bond and Blofeld get more than they bargained for when Titania attacks. The penultimate issue is wall-to-wall action and should not be missed.  JAMES BOND: AGENT OF SPECTRE #4 Writer: Christos Gage Artist: Luca Casalanguida, Heather Moore Letterer: Simon Bowland Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment Release Date: June 9, 2021 Cover Price: $3.99 It's all-out action in Athens, Greece as Bond and Blofeld's tenuous alliance is tested under fire! Can they survive the mountainside attack by upstart SPECTRE member Titania Jones...and can they survive each other? The double-crosses and triple-crosses hurtle toward a shocking and explosive conclusion in this penultimate issue! Score: ★★★★1/2 (4.5/5) Playing Blofeld and Titiana against each other was probably the right move but without backup from MI6 James Bond is on his own when, not if, things go haywire. Christos Gage and Luca Casalanguida have put together a jaw-dropping masterpiece of spy action and adventure. "James Bond: Agen...

The Best Comics of 2021

It what could be the best year in independent comics in sales and quality, here are some examples of what made 2021 in comics so entertaining, funny, exciting, thrilling, and thought-provoking.  Rumors of the death of the comic industry have been wildly exaggerated. Despite what some angry internet trolls may have posted, the comic book industry is alive and well, thriving in 2021.
